  1. Hi guys, so this is like my 3rd post on this topic but any help you guys can give would be really apreciated. I have quite a high end system, specs below, I have fsx sp2 installed but the mian problem I seem to be having is a lack of smoothness. FSX is not just smooth, it stutters over areas of autogen, and has a mechanical feel to it. Any advice on how to solve my problems? The only fsx.cfg tweaks I use are from the fsx.cfg tweaking website.Specs:Intel Core i5 2500k (default speed)Asus P8-P67 M Mobo4*2GB Kingston 1333mhz RAM500 GB Samsung SATA HDD620W Seasonic PSUEVGA GTX 570 SC Thanks
  2. Hey guys,I have tried everything to solve the stuttering problem in fsx. My FPS stays locked with an external limiter at 30 FPS. But, the sim stutters and there is a mechanical feel to it.Could anyone please help me on how to solve the stuttering issue and improving overall smootheness in the sim.My specs are on my sig
  3. Hey DJ,Thank you so much man. The buffer pool tweak works like a charm. Awesome!I'd rate your post 5 star if there was such a system :)
  4. Hey thanks jose for those tips.Do you have your bufferpools setting at 3000 or 3 million?+
  5. Guys I am so frustrated. People who have systems very similar to mine seem to have really smooth performance. But whatever I try, I am still able to see the stutters. What I dont get, is that even though my FPS is fixed at 35, why do i still get stutters. I have tried all of your suggestions to no avail.Any other advice?
  6. Hey flytrumpet, thanks for your suggestion. Going to try it now.Had a look at your sig, and your system seems quite similar to mine. Hows your fsx experience, any stutters at all? Thanks, I ll try it out
  7. Hey guys,I am currently using an external fps limiter set to 35 and the fsx fps limiter at unlimited. The FPS always remains above 35 and the minimum i have ever seen it is around 32. But, whenever I use the wingview and look down, I see micro stuuters along the scenery. My autogen is set to extremely dense. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
  8. Hey Sawyer,This is just what i was looking for. Thank you so much, and thanks to all others for their suggestions :D
  9. Hey, thanks for the reply. I ll try it out and let you know.Any other suggestions greatly appreciated :D
  10. Hey guys,Do you know of any good addon planes (preferably a 737 or an a340) that has the engine view as well. What I mean, is to be able to see the engines on the wing as if you look from inside the plane?Any help would be appreciated! Thanks
  11. Hey fluffybunny, I have read in many places that keeping settings low on high end systems can also affect performance and reduce FPS. I think by putting up your settings, you might have corrected your problems. Just my thoughts, hope it works.
  12. I have a i5 2500k over clocked to 4.4 ghz with a GTX 570 (see specs on sig), and I am quite surprised because I have all settings way up, autogen is at extremely dense. I have set my FPS limit to 32, and never seen if fall below 28, even at Mcaran. I have REX 2.0 installed as well.My friend has an identical rig to yours, with a GTX 460 as an exception, and he had the same problem. He then dida complete fresh installtion of FSX and REX, and set the affinity mask tweak, to use only 4 cores, I believe its a setting of 14, please check before using it because I cant remember for sure. Hope this helps
  13. Hey mind telling me what FPS limiter you are using, coz i have been hunting one for ages. Thanks
  14. Dear Peter,Do you think so? So if i remove one of my RAM's, do you think it will improve my FPS?Hey guys, since all of you seem to think that its probably my processor slowing me down, I have decided to go for change. The current MOBO i have and the i7 870 is quite complicated to overclock, for me at least :D.So i ve decided to buy a sandy bridge processor. In your opinion is the i7 2600k, worth the extra $100, or should i just go for the i5 2500K which seems a sweet deal. Just remember my main purpose is FSX and some other games!thanks
  15. Dear Wims,Would you have any good guides that you know of?
