  1. The Gamer Supreme Desktop seems to be the better choice as far as FSX goes. I have read that ATI/AMD announced that they will not be making active efforts to support the older coding systems, which FSX still runs. Besides that I have always seen Nvidia as the "go-to" as far as FSX goes. So the first system seems to be at an advantage in that area. Both systems have SSD which I hope they load the OS onto since I would imagine it comes pre-installed, definatly throw FSX on the SSD when you get it. Both have "K" series i7's which is good for overclocking and performance. The only thing I don't like about these computers is the fact that they just tell you DDR3 16GB memory with no reference as to what the speed of the memory is or anything. RAM speed is important in FSX with constant loading and moving of texutres in the sim. And with the newest Generation Haswell it can take advantage of these higher speeds such as 2400 or 2133. However they also don't specify MB which is an important part in the RAM decision too, so not much you can do about that. I think the best choice would be the first computer really only for the Nvida GTX770, and then later down the road depending on what RAM is provided you could possibly upgrade since RAM is about the easiest thing to swap. The only disadvantage I see in this system is it doesn't say liquid cooling so cannot be sure about what cooling they use if stock or not which may be a problem if you desire to overclock past say 4.1-4.2 Ghz. Best of luck!
  2. Recently I have been looking at upgrading my system for FSX as well, after reading this whole article about FSX and it's unique characteristics. Specifically with RAM the higher the speede the better. I would encourage you to read through this before building your system. http://www.simforums.com/forums/the-fsx-computer-system-the-bible-by-nickn_topic46211.html RAM that I found that looks very good, and since you are getting a very high end processor / MB it would a disadvantage to you to get lower speed memory. G. SKill Trident X Series DDR3 2400 (F3-2400C9D-8GTXD). Just my two cents, best of luck on your build!! Edit: well I didn't even bother to look at your mother board... just did and that RAM won't really be useful for that... oh well, sorry haha, the link is still good to read though!
  3. I tried same place, aircraft in same state at at the same time and my 747 still gets about 4-5 frames better, I know I've heard in the past that the 737 is supposed to get better frames, so I'm just curious as to why this is, because if I could get it to be better then the 747 frame wise, I would be very happy
  4. I've noticed recently that I get significantly better frames in the 747 than my 737, anyone know why? And how do your performances match up?
  5. Geez guys just be thankful we know something is coming! Atleast I'm happy to hear such things!
  6. Ya I would say PMDG's will look a bit better then that one...
  7. I like that phrase "and more" ;)
  8. Usually something like this where there isn't smoothing between layers is a problem with anti-aliasing or anistrophic filtering, check your settings. I see you have a nvidia based card so you can use nvidia inspector to adjust settings, try that and see where you can get, in the main area of the general for there is a nvidia inspector setting guide pinned at the top jsyk :)
  9. Ever since I reinstalled FSX I have been having a problem with the livery manager, mostly on the 737-800 because I can install one livery and then when I try to install another one it completes and then I click on the plane (in the manager) and then there are no liverys there. Please help kind of annoying to only be able to have one livery, on the 700 and 600 however I can have more than one livery so I don't know why its only on the 800
  10. Thanks Ryan, I am going to set up a flight tonight and see how it works! :( Hopefully it will!
  11. So I will usually do a long haul flight about once a week and every time I do when I get to my destination my terrain such as the runway marking lines, air terminals, and some other things are just gone, I have all of my settings on high and you can see my specs in my signature so could someone help me out with this? I'm thinking a setting can probably be tweaked in the cfg where I have also modified some things, help is appreciated -Thanks, JakeAlso this happens in my PMDG 747-400 but never in a five hour or so flight with the NG
  12. From Venturebeat.com 'If you are connected that way, you can also join multiplayer games and fly with other players."
  13. Thanks guys for the responses! I have heard of navigraph but i don't want to pay for an updated version right now as it is not completely out of date, but maybe down the road.
