  1. Andrew, I don't know. I don't use REX. If you're on REX, I wouldn't overwrite anything until you talk to someone using REX.
  2. Sure. I don't remember ever seeing a .bmp for those files. Their not in either of those directories on my sysem. May be a REX thing. Hope you get it fixed.
  3. I can't help you with your CTDs but the Oceanheigt files are located in the Texture folder under your sim. Not the Scenery\World\Texture. They should be in C:\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Texture
  4. Let us know how it works out. I may be interested in it. Thanks. Edit: Maybe Steve can chime in here.
  5. This is from their site. I don't have the utility though. Works for youPrecipitFX is compatible with all popular texture enhancement add-ons and weather engines available for Microsoft Flight Simulator X and Lockheed Martin Prepar3D. If you fly with DirectX 10 enabled in FSX, you must convert newly installed PrecipitFX effects using SteveFX's DX10 Scenery Fixer.
  6. The last one on FSS was 2.3. The last version notation, if it's still on your system, is in the top left corner of the config tool. It should say DX10 Controller v2.3. FSS says the latest is v2.4.
  7. If you're already a registered user, the email that was sent has the updates listed. If you're not a user yet, the updates are: New features in V2.4 - Improved Shadow Placement (external and internal) less gapping between the object and the shadow - Improved HD Shadows - now works with almost any aircraft not just jets
  8. The choice is yours to update or not. It's not a requirement that you update. It has a few new features as noted in the email sent to all registered users. New features in V2.4 - Improved Shadow Placement (external and internal) less gapping between the object and the shadow - Improved HD Shadows - now works with almost any aircraft not just jets.

  10. Steve, Under the Legacy tab, the DX10Compatable Reflections Enable button is now showing Enable and not greyed out. But on install, I still don't get the option box to check it.
