  1. Yes, that is why I got it in the first place. It adjusts the visuals globally.
  2. Can you share a screenshot of your hand controllers button assignments in MSFS? Or just share name of commands for these knob controls? I would like to try. Thanks.
  3. 99% it's VisualXP. I mean for 10 bucks, it's highly worth it. People can talk nonsense 24/7 about MSFS visuals, but that sim needs its VisualXP like app asap. Not a single monitor or VR display is the same, not to mention user preferences.
  4. Yep. Saw it, shared it. One of the most realistic looking shots so far from any sim.
  5. VR implementation is MUCH better than in other sims (even better than in Aerofly FS 2/4, can go into detail why). No need to use the mouse at all, you can just use hand controllers, and build your muscle memory if you are preparing to be a commercial pilot (just an example). With an index finger button click, you can manipulate all the stuff in the cockpit. In Toliss, there is no need for click and drag movement to flick the switches. You just click on Landing Lights switch, and they will change the state from Off to Retracted, and then to On with another click. Every next click reversed the behavior. Very practical if you ask me, especially when you compare to click and drag system like in MSFS. Of course VR implementation depends on an aircraft, it's not great in every single addon. You can also "hold" the virtual flight stick, yoke, and throttle quadrants to control the aircraft, no need for real hardware around your desk, but I don't prefer that method as in my case muscle fatigue was severe. You simply can't hold the hand in air holding a virtual flight stick for more than few minutes, throttle quadrants included. Aerofly FS 2/4 has best VR implementation if you want to fly at native fps without frame projection, and hand controllers are depicted as hands in the sim (not as VR controllers in XP11/12), but the switches manipulation is VERY cumbersome. Since you manipulate the switches only with VR index finger, you will find yourself flicking many switches by accident. I accidentally switched off the left engine in A320 that way. 😄 As soon as I put down my right VR hand controller on my small desk on my right side, it accidentally flicked the engine master switch to off. Not very practical lol. You can also pinch switches with VR thumb and index finger, but it's so hard to do so as "click" spots are extremely small. Not sure why Aerofly FS 2/4 dev team did it that way. Implementation in MSFS is clumsy too. First of all you must disable the laser pointer with a button click, as it's not immersive to manipulate everything with a virtual stick lol. You can manipulate the switches by click (in some aircraft), or click and drag in majority of other aircraft. Click spots are usually tiny. Rotating the MCDU knobs is disastrously slow, you will find yourself rotating for 10-20 seconds to change the speed from 140 to 250 for example, or Heading from 270 to 0. In Toliss it lasts few seconds, where you need couple of seconds to adjust single digits. Also in MSFS you can't grab the virtual flight stick or yoke. The only thing I like in MSFS VR implementation is that VR hand controllers disappear after couple of seconds when not using them, so no need to put them away from the desk. In my case, they block PFD and ND in Toliss.
  6. I think I mentioned it in the "Manual flight feels brilliant, being accurate or not." part, that I write from my POV. And my POV is what matters the most in my case. If real Airbus pilot says that Toliss feels awkward, wrong, "fake", I will take that information (with a grain of salt), and continue to enjoy the addon, as how it feels, suits what I expect Airbus to feel, being accurate or not. When I say that I take real pilot info with a grain of salt, it means that there are many variables in the game. Real pilot are not robots to memorize how exactly aircraft feels during specific flight stick movements, as they are usually focusing on another things. Also, their home flight sim setups are in majority of cases worse than mine, using cheap Thrustmaster Airbus joystick, etc. There are exceptions of course, but generally it's pretty hard to nail fly-by-wire behavior and responsiveness using sim hardware, I think. I mean best example is a continuous discussion usually in Facebook MSFS groups, where two real C172 pilots (example) claim two completely different POVs. One claim how Asobo C172 is perfect, flies by numbers, completely on point, while the other say that is far from perfect, it lack inertia, rudder is twitchy, pulls too hard on takeoffs, etc etc. So what to do? Simply choose which pilot to believe and continue with the life. In short, I always accept professional opinions, and tend to adapt my matter of preference towards it, but in the end, if I utterly enjoy specific behavior or flight model, like Toliss one, there is simply no need for me to chase something more realistic as I'm not preparing myself to be real commercial pilot. I'm just sharing my experience flying Toliss vs Fenix, and compare it. That is least I can do as a simmer.
  7. Exactly same thought here. Toliss A319 is my favorite addon currently, by far. I utterly enjoy flying it in VR, the experience in every phase of the flight is second to none. The feeling of taxiing is brilliant, nose gear steering works really nice. Manual flight feels brilliant, being accurate or not. It's incredible how XP11/12 physics make you feel the pure tonnage of each airliner even during taxiing and takeoffs, and most of all during manual flight. I can literally feel the weight below my chair while in VR. I load Fenix or FBW in MSFS, and they both feel "fake", "digital", light. Best words I can use. No feel if weight at all, and fly-by-wire feels wrong from my POV. I have trouble adjusting the sensitivities for my VKB Gladiator NXT to make it feel more like fly-by-wire, and I can do it to a degree. But still, absolutely no feel of weight at all, and that kills a huge part of immersion for me, 2D or VR, doesn't matter. Last, but not least, cockpit displays work in tandem with sim fps, means if the sim is locked at 60fps, displays will work at 60fps, mega smooth. It adds to immersion quite a lot. In MSFS, displays are choppy even in High settings, and that means that displays use legacy code from FSX, which used some kind of xml that supported max 18fps. Also, in VR, manipulating switches, buttons and levers are so much easier in X-Plane than in MSFS. Click spots are bigger, and for example with Toliss, no need to click and pull a switch. Just click on light switches and they go to ON/OFF position, easy. I'm aware that majority of simmers don't feel or even don't care about the "details" I mentioned above, and I respect that. For me, X-Plane is hitting the nail.
  8. So, tell me where I can buy HotStart addons, which are considered the best? Where I can find great TBM 900 and Challenger simulations? I will wait for you to give me a proper answer that will include good alternative addons (there is none for your information). 🙂
  9. For X-Plane 11 as TBM isn't compatible with v12 just yet.
  10. TBM 900 Cockpit Sound Immersion soundpack, excusively developed for HotStart TBM900 is finally finished! 3 months of work in total, a lot of takes and re-takes on different sounds, until we found a proper mix of realism, authenticity and immersion. Very soon in the stores near you. Detailed sounds overview and official promo video is below. I hope you'll enjoy new adventures with TBM 900.
  11. This is so strange. I don't have non of the issues you guys are mentioning. I've loaded into LGAV with this app for the first time, and it was loading maybe 2 minutes tops. I can freely say it loads at least 3x faster than AO, at least on two tested areas. No blurry tiles, everything was perfect with BI. There is Google Earth imagery too that comes with the free version, but ortho images are way more compressed, and look really ugly up close. And of course, there is that Google watermark everywhere if you want to find it. 🙂 As far as I understand paid version bring access to Apple Maps, and enhanced Google Maps imagery, probably better resolution and quality.
  12. The same message appeared here when I had old version of WinFSP installed. Be sure to download and install newest one, as explained in the tutorial video.
  13. I find this shady as it uses AO base scenery. Hmmmm...
