  1. Okay, I will complete the tutorials and read the flight manual but I still don't know why pmdg would not a have Cold and Dark panel state option built into the fmc. Thanks for the help though guys. :-)
  2. Hi all, I recently purchased the pmdg 737 base pack and I have not yet completed the tutorials but I did try and load it into a C & D panel state. There was no option for me too. I looked on YouTube tutorial to see if I was in the correct section of the fmc and seems I was but there was no selection for it there. Do you actually have to do a full shutdown sequence and then save the panel state or is this just a glitch? Thanks in advance! Oh also, This is a completely legal and registered product I paid for!
  3. Hey all, I just downloaded the new Vpilot for Vatsim and I love it so far. Unfortunately, I cannot hear the ATC over the game volume. I use the Turtle Beach x12 and they do have a chat control knob but it works with Xbox only. I run FSX on Win7 and wondering if anyone knows a work around? Maybe a way to control volume of each program independently in Win7 as I think Vpilot is separate to fsx. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
  4. Hi, please help. I have changed all files to run as admin so is not that problem, but when i go into fsx and go to add ons menu, as soon as I click on squawk box fsx freezes. The sound of the engine running remains but is completely frozen. I ctrl, alt, del and task bar says fsx not responding. Any help please?
  5. Hey mate, I have a similar problem. There is a video on you tube that might help you though. If win7 try going to squakbox files and change to run as administrator. SB4>combatability> check run as admin box. Then same for SB4fsx file and same for the your fsx.exe. Hope this helps. Try looking on youtube if this didn't make sense to you
  6. #####, I have never really used forums before and I sure as hell don't think I will again. I started a new post because I was trying to do the right thing by flex, and I cut paste to show the seeming similarity of events (course correction) to MH370 with out having to type 1500 words out. I didn't know this was a no no. I am simply a very avid aviation enthusiast that hates to see all the conspiracy conjecture going on about MH370 and wanted a simple question answered. I was hoping to have a friendly chat with like minded folk. I did not come to be made to feel stupid because I am not tech savvy and know the inner workings of a chat forum. Thank you Hook for answering the question without the condemnation.
  7. It shits me that Malaysian Airways wont release full cargo manifest as this fuels conspiracy fires. Could the pressure have been set wrong on the overhead and they unkowingly gave themselves hypoxia, or a malfunction in this system? Personally I think they were having some serious system/electric malfunctions which they were trying to negate and turned before becoming overcome by hypoxia. Maybe just enough lack of oxygen not to kill but pretty much incapacitate all on board, leading to confused radio comms and decision making. Also if the flight crew momentarily regained consciousness they could have changed flight level a few times.
  8. On October 25, 1999, a month after the American team rallied to win the 1999 Ryder Cup in Brookline, Massachusetts, and four months after his U.S. Open victory at Pinehurst No. 2, Stewart was killed in the depressurization of a Learjet flying from Orlando, Florida, to Dallas, Texas, for the year-ending tournament, The Tour Championship, held at Champions Golf Club in Houston that year. Traveling on a Monday morning, Stewart was planning to stop off in Dallas to discuss building a new home-course for the SMU golf program.[24] The last communication received from the pilots was at 9:27 AM EDT, and the plane made a right turn at 9:30 AM EDT that was probably the result of human input. At 9:33 AM EDT the pilots did not respond to a call to change radio frequencies, and there was no further contact from the plane. The plane was, apparently, still on autopilot and angled off-course, as observed by several U.S. Air Force (and Air National Guard) F-16 fighter aircraft[25] as it continued its flight over the southern and midwestern United States. The military pilots observed frost or condensation on the windshield (consistent with loss of cabin pressure) which obscured the cockpit, and no motion was visible through the small patch of windshield that was clear. National Transportation Safety Board investigators later concluded that the plane suffered a loss of cabin pressure and that all on board died of hypoxia as the plane passed to the West of Gainesville, Florida. A delay of only a few seconds in donning oxygen masks, coupled with cognitive and motor skill impairment, could have been enough to result in the pilots' incapacitation. The NTSB report showed that the plane had several instances of maintenance work related to cabin pressure in the months leading up to the accident. The NTSB was unable to determine whether they stemmed from a common problem – replacements and repairs were documented, but not the pilot discrepancy reports that prompted them or the frequency of such reports. The report gently chides Sunjet Aviation for the possibility that this would have made the problem harder to identify, track and resolve; as well as the fact that in at least one instance the plane was flown with an unauthorized maintenance deferral for cabin pressure problems. According to a USAF timeline, a series of military planes provided an emergency escort to the stricken Lear, beginning with an F-16 from Eglin Air Force Base, about an hour and twenty minutes (9:33 EDT to 9:52 CDT – see NTSB report on the crash) after ground controllers lost contact. The plane continued flying until it ran out of fuel and crashed into a field near Mina, South Dakota, a town ten miles (16 km) west of Aberdeen, after an uncontrolled descent. The five other people aboard the plane included Stewart's agents Robert Fraley and Van Ardan, and pilots Michael Kling and Stephanie Bellegarrigue, along with Bruce Borland, a highly regarded golf course architect with the Jack Nicklaus design company.
  9. Sorry hook, not directed at you. Is it possible of pressure malfunction without explosive decomp?
  10. Hey was I thinking, Is it possible that the cabin of MH370 lost oxygen without explosive decompression? Possible system malfunction? Maybe they were having electronic system malfunctions and started pulling buses and changed course for closest viable aerodrome but become overcome by hypoxia from a pressure system malfunction? This could explain the "okay, goodnight" message and later mumbled communication to japan airways from F/o as Hypoxia can do very strange things to brain.
  11. Thank you for not answering my question.

  13. I recently installed squawk and got onto vatsim and everything worked fine (except low fps 5/7fps!) but the 3rd or 4th time I started it up my Saitek Radio panel has gone dead. My yoke, rudder pedals, switch panel and multi-panel all work fine, but radio panel dead. I have ran the function check program and it is not receiving anything from the panel but when I check the devices settings in windows it says radio panel is there and functioning. Very confused about what to do? Cheers in advance! Running through win7.
  14. Hi guys, I have decided to give Vatsim a go via squawk box. I have downloaded and followed tutorials on install etc, and all seemed to install fine. When I start fsx I choose a gate and start SB. Squawkbox says I have connected succesfully, It shows the atc channels on the right but I tune active tower channel and nothing happens. I do not hear anything at all from atc, the bottom right says text only and when I hit the PTT button it buzzes. I have calibrated my mic and it says works fine. Any help? I have uploaded plans also and scenery aircraft disappear but no change otherwise. Thanks in advance!
  15. Yea, I switched between the tower and atis in active comm 1 and nothing for either. Can't work out where I'm going wrong. Really frustrating!
