About Me

  • About Me
Mad keen homebrewer and FS fan.
  1. I think they have missed their opportunity - no issues with GSX Pro.
  2. Thanks for making this Ben and James. I don't even own FT Amsterdam, and bought the video anyway. Guess I'll have to buy the extra scenery now. Love the deep level of information you go into, the production quality and entertainment value. I saw when you were resetting the ground traffic, your menus looked quite small - so I'm guessing you are running DSR to make the scenery look so good - is this correct? Would appreciate any insight you can share as to how you make P3D so beautiful (as opposed to wonderful after-effects you are doing in post). Thanks again for a unique product. Cheers, Billy
  3. I definitely enjoy it too. Looks good, flies well, more stable - nice for those shorter trips.
  4. Wow, thanks everyone for your feedback and advice - much appreciated. Will grab a couple of airports. Cheers, Billy
  5. Any recommended best airports to get? Cheers, Billy
  6. Any votes for favourite airports? I already have all the regions, most Aussie airports and LOWI. Typically fly the tubes/Q400 and occasionally Twotter, so after something a little larger than the pretty bush strips. Thanks, Billy
  7. More searching, found a workaround: https://orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/82007-liguria-tuscany-genoa-from-ozx/ Wasn't what I really wanted, but I'll take it.
  8. Hi All, I'm struggling to get LIMJ looking OK in P3D V4. At a couple of screenshots below you can see buildings in water, waves on the taxiways (ramp) and odd scenery right next to the airfield. One thing that is difficult to see is what looks to be a flashing intersection between two buildings. I think my scenery layers are correct: I am using My Traffic 6a, so found the AFCAD there and disabled and that didn't make a difference. Any thoughts on what to do or how to troubleshoot? Appreciate your support. Cheers, Mark B.
  9. $469 Aussie for GTX970 & $799 for the GTX980Ti - so half as much again is a bit of a stretch (if we are now in the margins for performance)???
  10. Hi All, I'm looking to make the transition from FSX to Prepar3d. I'm currently running a GTX760 on my i4670K rig. Do you think a GTX970 is worth it or required? I thought with the release of NVIDIA's new cards, and the corresponding price drop it might be worth the investment. Cheers, Mark B.
  11. You are right (of course) - I was thinking of BeThere! My mistake. I still prefer XPause.
  12. Both options should work. Iwillbeback is a gauge to be added to the panel, xpause uses fsuipc. I prefer xpause as it uses the flight plan to predict TOD and is external to the panel. It can also pause based an altitude and a test of other variables. IWillBeBack uses N miles from a lat/long. B.
  13. Here you go... Good luck. 14. Sure... I'm away from my pc, but will publish in the next day or so.
  15. Do you use FSX:SE? There is an updated simconnect file that needs to be run alongside the other simconnects.
