I too would love to know what fixed it, its driving me mad :-(

For the sake of other users that may have this problem OK, so I was having a number of problems I took a sledgehammer approach. Reformatted the HDD and did a fresh install of Win11Pro FS2020 everything. AAO would then fail to start and the event logs showed a .net problem. I downloaded the vc 2019 https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe from MS and it all works :-) What was the cause... I have not idea, it may have been the manufacturer of my new pc was kind enough to ship it with Norton....( I HATE THAT PRODUCT!!!!) Which in my haste I didnt remove till after installing everything. When I did unistal it, using their removal tool, it kept trying to put it back on every time I booted, That may well have been the problem. Thanks for your advice.

So I am not sure whats going on. I uninstalled MSFS2020 and ReInstalled from the xbox app. This is a brand new virgin win11 home pc, and still its not talking. I blacklisted the stream deck as advised, no other usb devices recorded other than the flight controllers. At present while testing only the TPM rudder pedels. AS its win11 .Net 4.8 is in the system already and not possible to load as a standard product. I thought it may be defender so I turned it off, still not working, checked the firewall settings anyway, network profile is Private, and lorbys is allowed through the firewall and added in defender exeptions. SO all in all a complete mystery, I was thinking of upgrading windows to pro, but that doesnt make sense, perhaps a wiresharke trace but I dont know which port simconnect uses, come to that I wouldnt know what network messages I would look for anyway :-(

I recently upgraded to a new gammingPC running Win11. NO additional AV only defender. When I run aao it sticks on waiting for SimConnect. When I try and look at any of the menu's (trying to check the connection menu for example) I get "program not responding" and the usual blue circle from windows. However without the sim running it works fine. I guess there is a simconnect issue but other apps that use sim connect (such as sky dolly) have no problem communicating to the sim. I have tried using an older version of aao, and even tried replacing the simconnect.dll with the one from the MS2020 SK. No joy there either. The only info I found in the event log, doest help me very much. Any suggestions ? The program LorbyAxisAndOhs_MSFS.exe version 2.31.23.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. Here is a solition I use that allows Pilot2ATC to sound like a radio and use different sound devices at the same time in X-Plane. So in my set up I am all VR so I have x-plane sounds (engines etc) to the desktop speakers. Pilot2ATC to the rift along with Teamspeak, and different miccs depending on what I am doing. Hope its of use to someone.

i checked this, even uninstalled and reinstalled the devices. they are working well with other apps. for example they can both be seen with FSUIPC or SPAD.Next its just button mapper. can you think of other tracing I can do ?

I have a problem with Button Mapper, I get the following errors and it doesnt run when I have both MFD's plugged in. If I remove one of them it works fine. I have uninstalled both hardware and software and reinstalled but it still fails to start. Any suggestions ? i am following the training but I my FMC/CDU/FCS or whatever you want to call it doesnt follow the training video. SO when I type in the EGNX and accept twice I dont see the same display, infact its telling me the heading is 001. I tried to set in manually by going to menu/departures (just guessing, as i got a lot to learn) and set the departure runway to 27 but no difference. As such I cant get to the next step of creating the extended path on the display. hopefully someone else has seen this and can tell me what button I forgot to press, because no matter how many times I do this it always happens. This is a strange one, since upgrading to the latest version I have a problem with the filter o airports. As soon as I have put in the first letter the box re-sets and all airports are lost in the view. I have tried reset from the system top let, and this happens both on the local version and the networked version. I use Windows 8.1 with P3d 2.5, I guess it must be something I've done as no one else is talking about this issue. IS there anything you suggest I look at ? Thanks for a brilliant piece of software. AvilaSoft's EFB does not need Wide FS to run on a second machine. I run the data connector on the main P3D pc and on a small WIndows 7 Asus Transformer have the display unit. This works really well.

Firstly let me say MCE is probably the best add on I have, better than a lot of far more expensive software, however, and of course there had to be one. It is annoying that I cannot mute my headset. I once sneezed and before I knew it the FO had shut down an engine, and then my daughter just barges in and wants to talk while I am flying, so its time to hit the mute button on the MCE panel, but guess what ?........ I am in full screen so i can't see the panel. I can switch to windowed mode and click and back again,but to be honest I want to fly, and do my best to stay away from the mouse. Please can we have a keyboard / joystick button to switch mute on of off ?
