  1. I think critical comments are valid, however we must all remember that things WILL improve, since this very much "early access". A reasonable amount of patience is called for at this moment, but us veterans of FSX and the others will be watching, with high hopes.
  2. Just take your shoes off. Remember the "barefoot bandit"? With nothing more than flight simulator experience he stole a bunch of planes, and even wrecked a few of them!
  3. I must be getting the same error as you, Joe Flyer. Can't access the website to get the latest version.
  4. It might well be that, despite his name, Richard's primary language is not English. Might just be a misunderstanding, so everyone relax! Old thread, sorry!
  5. Great guide! Slightly older thread and the images don't show up for me. Is there a PDF version somewhere? Thanks.
  6. Thanks, Bill, I'll give that a try and report back. Dano
  7. I'm needing to animate a Cessna-style starter/magneto switch for my VC. It's the type that has off, left, right, both, and start positions. There are different animation tags available, so that's question #1. Which tag is the best to use for this type of switch? I'm currently using "switch_ignition_magnetos" with less than satisfactory results. By that I mean I can't get it to stay on the left or right magneto positions in order to check RPM drop during run-up, etc. I can, however start the engine and shut it down. The second question has to do with the fact that the different tags have differing animation ranges, for example 50, or 75, etc. How many key frames would you set for those examples, and at what intervals to get all 5 positions working? Thanks for any help...
  8. Better yet I'll just fly the missions and challenges again. Doh!
  9. Good idea. I'll make a backup of my non-GFWL profile, take a look at my level 20 GFWL profile to see what it has that my new non-GFWL profile doesn't have, try an edit, and see what happens.
  10. I apologize if this has already been answered in another thread. I tried a few searches to no avail. The FSX content conversion worked flawlessly for me, and Flight is offering jobs at various airports (other than Hawaii and Alaska), but won't let me fly them because I'm not a "level 5" (non-GFWL). I don't suppose there's a way to hack our way to level 5 to see if it's actually possible to fly those jobs? Dano
  11. Can the temporary 7 gig folder created and used during the FSX content conversion process be deleted after the process is complete? I would think it can be, but I thought I'd ask before deleting, just to make sure. And, I apologize if the answer is clearly written in the instructions and I failed to read it. Thanks. Dano
  12. I lived at Beale AFB for a few years, unfortunately that was just before the SR-71, when it was still a SAC base with B-52s. I did finally get to see a Blackbird at the Abbotsford BC airshow back around 1989 or so. Awesome. I have the Virtavia FSX SR-71 and it's a blast.
  13. I do that a lot on Kauai. My goal is to land in tough spots that I'm also able to fly out of when I'm done looking around. Alaska is also great for that, too.
