  1. THANK YOU! I had the exact same problem - none of my landing lights/taxi lights illuminated the runway on any of my payware aircraft. At first I thought it was something to do with flights that transitioned from day to night as I'd read somewhere that FSX can have a problem with that but then when I tried a flight solely at night I found that I still had the same problem. Luckily I had FSX installed on an old PC so I was able to copy the spotlight.bmp and overright the spotlight file in my new PC and hey presto! It works!
  2. Okay, so you can call me anal if you'd like but when I fly the 737 NGX I like the various 2D pop up panels to all be sized how I like and all placed where I want. In fact you could almost add it as a step on my preflight checks - just after 'set IRS to Nav' - resize and position 2D windows. I have FSX setup to run on 3 monitors and the default settings for the windows are just not right for me. Is there any way of saving the windows so that I don't have to go through the process of resizing and positioning each and every window every time? It is after all a bit of a chew. I've tried saving the panel state on the FMC but that didn't work.
  3. There is this video on You Tube. No commentary but I found it useful.
  4. LOL! I guess that's what happens when you press reply 4 times because you didn't think it worked. Oops. :-)
  5. I've just tried registering to the edi-gla site. It's letting me register but not letting me log in. I've just tried registering to the edi-gla site. 6. Once you've set the ILS frequency into the GPS and set the runway heading into the AP (make sure the GPS is set to VLoc otherwise the course selection won't show on the bottom right of the heading indicator) you need to wait until the localiser becomes active. Once active the heading indicator will have a green arrow in the middle (showing the direction of the runway) as well as an offset green line which is a representation of how far away you are from the centre line of the runway. As you approach the course for the runway the green line will start moving towards the middle of the arrow, as soon as it does press the NAV button on the AP (this tells the AP to follow the Nav 1 radio). The plane will then start to line itself up with the runway. Once the glide slope indicator becomes active and starts moving down press the APP button on the AP and the plane will start to descend on the glide slope. All you need to do now is manage the throttles to make sure that the glide slope indicator remain in the middle of the display.
