Interesting! Just did some research and found somehingt that may help. Since this aircraft is an FS9 portover and folks were complaining about cockpit textures, they were saying if all lights were turned off, it looked OK. Here is one guy's fix for the problem: Here is my solution to those FSX-SP2 induced 'reflectivetexture' areas in the 748 VC.It consists of changing the RGB 0,0,0 areas on some panelsto RGB 2,2,2 and repainting a couple of areas to matchthe adjacent grey panel area.Also, I changed the 'Background_color=0,0,0' statementsin the panel.cfg file in several of the windows.Here are the mods to the panel.cfg file: Code: [Window02] Background_color=10,10,10 [Window07] Background_color=10,10,10 [Window09] Background_color=10,10,10 [Window12] Background_color=8,8,8 [Window13] Background_color=10,10,10 [Window16] Background_color=10,10,10 [Window17] Background_color=10,10,10 [Vcockpit01] file=panel_overhead748.bmp file_1024=panel_overhead748.bmp Background_color=128,128,128 [Vcockpit02] file=panel_quadrant748.bmp file_1024=panel_quadrant748.bmp Background_color=128,128,128 [Vcockpit03] file=panel_engine748.bmp file_1024=panel_engine748.bmp Background_color=128,128,128 [Vcockpit04] file=panel_left748.bmp file_1024=panel_left748.bmp Background_color=128,128,128 The panel BMP files that I modifoed are in the panelfolder- panel_left748.bmp, panel_engine748.bmp sndpanel_overhead748.bmp.

I remember some freeware addon aircraft include a sound.dll that needs to be in the main FSX folder. If it's not there, then the Sim will crash when you hit the "Fly Now" tab.
