Hi Guys, I thought there was a cockpit builders forum on Avsim...but I can't find one? If not...does anyone know of somewhere I could pick the brains of some of these guys please? many thanks

I consider myself a reasonably capable simmer...but I went on a 737 simulator with my Brother, (who's also pretty good) and we asked the instructor if we could have a scenario where the pilot was incapacitated...so we could take over the aircraft and fly it, land it. Forget it!!!!!!! After about 10 minutes of the two of us f******* everything up..he had to take back control

DoveTail Games Buys Licensing Deal with Microsoft
UK_Squiff replied to calooom's topic in MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum
FSX and the third party dev's, is surely so far down the line, that releasing FSX on Steam won't dent the Sim or it's addons for those who don't use Steam surely? I have to say, that apart from a few smallish bits that are of 'some' interest...I can't see me wanting to add much more to my fsx anyhow. I've got all the aircraft I'll ever want to fly...I have the Airports I want..I have amazing scenery... The one good thing about Dovetail and Steam, is that Multiplayer will be back on the cards (I know we've never really lost it) but, you'll probably be able to jump into a room quite easily -
oh, very weird....bit beyond my capability....sorry

Cyclic Redundancy Check, would suggest a damaged disk. Might be worth making a folder on your desktop..and copying all the content from the FSX disks into it..and running from there. If you cannot copy, and it comes up with an error...you defo have a damaged disk...sorry

Moving my FS folder to an external HD
UK_Squiff replied to Walouigi's topic in MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum
Have to agree with everyone else. I've tried copying the folders..using software too...the result?...crap. Take the plunge...don't be lazy...just swallow it -
Amen to that file. I had real hassle with Black Contrails etc..this sorted it. (problem in the Effects/Texture folder)

FSX is hardly a Downgrade. Many things/addons for FSX..make it loads better than FS9
