  1. I'm using 1920x1080 as screen resolution. Visual effects: High(hdr) Textures:High AA: 2x SSAA+FXAA World objects:High Reflections: Minimal Only addon I use is 737 zibomod, with this aircraft, around KSEA(default) I get about 24-33 frames which is both usable and eye candy for me. And I just found "Rendering Options" addon made by rhpa23. So I can get deeper into graphical settings and maybe gain a bit more performance.
  2. Well I checked nvidia drivers page and saw a new version of driver, so I made a clean install and issue seems to be gone. Note: I am using 385.69 version right now. Thanks again guys.
  3. Yes it has two gpu's but I double checked control panel, it uses the nvidia card. I'm about to do a fresh driver installation to see if it makes a difference. By the way I also use p3d v4 and able to run it on mid-high settings while getting around 35 frames with addons. I'm very confused.
  4. Oh sorry forgot to mention I was using NGX. In default aircrafts it seems normal. But I fly with NGX more so I think I better turn it on and set down AA to MSAA.
  5. Yes I just figured it out frames came to normal when using MSAA instead of SSAA. I created 2 configs for day and night flights. In daytime I can use SSAAx2 without a big impact and get rid of most jaggies. In night flights I couldn't see any noticeable difference in AA setting so I set MSAAx2 for nights.
  6. I lowered the resolution to minimum, all the other sliders at minimum too. Doesn't make any difference in fullscreen, still about 20 frames.
  7. Hello again, by spending last night with p3d, I also got some scenery and aircraft addons. For now, with mid-high settings I'm able to get 30 frames with addons, which is decent for me. The only thing frustrating me is the dynamic lightning box. I can't get any landing or taxi light when it's unchecked, but also it's a frame eater for my experience.
  8. Well with all sliders to the left I monitored and all cpu,gpu and ram usage are about %40 white I'm getting 20 fps. But I found something interesting, when I run sim in windowed mode, my frames came up to 40's with low-mid settings. As soon as I enter fullscreen, it still going down. Any idea why this is happening? It seems something like a frame limiter but I haven't seen a option for that.
  9. Thanks for the quick reply John. The biggest thing concerns me is the cpu speed. It's 2.8ghz default and up to 3.8 with turbo. But I don't know anything about this turbo technology. Do clock speeds increase to the max value while running sim, or is there any specific adjustment I have to do without overheating the cpu? And also do clock speeds effect performance so much just like the older versions of p3d?
  10. Hey guys, Recently I got a new laptop which has 7700hq, 16 gigs ram, gtx 1050Ti (4GB). I downloaded the demo and run it. All default. I could barely see 20-22 frames. So I set all the sliders to the left, turned of everything that might have an impact, still the same result. What could be the problem? I thought I would get a smooth simming around mid settings. So any ideas or recommendations for this issue? Thanks and regards.
  11. Hey everyone. I was so interested in flight simming back in 2013-2014 and this forum actually helped me a lot. I was using a mid-range setup and wasn't satisfied with the performance. Last version I used was 2.4 or 3 I think. Anyway, I started collage and bought a laptop which has 7700hq, 16gigs ram and gtx1050ti (4gb). I'm considering getting back to simming again. I know I shouldn't expect such a big difference, but new versions of P3D seems promising for me with the improvisations. I'm not looking for high settings, just want to run my sim smoothly in low-mid settings with some scenery and aircraft addons. So what do you guys think about simming on this laptop? Any recommendations will be appreciated, not just about hardware side, also the things I need to know before starting in version 4. By the way I was using AMD 6300 and 660Ti back then. Thank you, Regards.
  12. I've never tried the FSX Steam Edition. But I did some changes in P3DV3. Turned off mipmap VC panels, set the low resolution in PMDG performance settings and limited the fps to 22. It's better now, I don't care much about the fps counter, it feels smooth for me. But with default scenery and textures. The final words, I think I will try FSX SE.
  13. Well, while I was using FSX, I was getting an OOM on almost every flight. And I can't afford a new GPU or a new system now. So I think it's better to stick with v2.5 or v3.
  14. Sorry I forgot to mention that I'm using pmdg ngx and get these results, but no other addons like sceneries.
