  1. Same issue, would you guys please post a screen shot of your ADE with those edits so I can try the same? It has been some time since I used ADE, don't want to **** it up, Thanks. Ken

It has been driving me crazy. I´ve disabled each and every addon to do with scenery/texture and still the issue persists. Now that I have read all the previous replies I am going to disable UTL and see what happens. Maybe something in V4.3 changed how the sim looks at AI textures. So I disabled UTL and still the same issue. I did find out that if you use a drop down menu and then come back out then the frame rates increase again but only for about 30 seconds. Using a GTX760 with the latest drivers. now solved, dirty and clogged Video card was dangerously hot, 96C+. When P3D initially launched my graphic card temp would hover around the high 70's. After around a minute my frame rates would drop to ten or less. Selecting a drop down menu and then going back into the game would give an almost instant rise in frame rates.....but only momentarily. i started to monitor the graphics card temp and noticed that increasing above 95C would cause this drop in frame rates I dismantled the PC and found the graphics card fan as well as the whole interior thick with dust the graphics card fan was barely moveable. Good thorough clean and now my graphics card is cooler with no frame rate loss. Ken
  3. Solved - this was down to a very dirty and clogged up Graphics Card. Before cleaning my video card was running up to 96C which explained the drop off on frame rates and why jumping in and out of menus initially brought the frame rates back up. I stripped out all the components from my PC and gave them all a good blow out and vacuum, the fan on the video card was barely moving prior to cleaning. All back together and now m video card reaches around 82C with no frame rate loss. So, nothing to do with textures or AI addons, simply a very dirty PC.

  5. Ok, so the first link shows the default lights from Prepar3D V4.1 on the FAIB British Airways A320 as it departs EGPF for EGLL. Also, in the distance you can see an EasyJet A320 on approach. Source: https://imgur.com/a/nsCCK The second link shows the difference when the default lights are replaced with FSReborn. Source: https://imgur.com/a/iVz75 I think the images speak for themselves.
  6. Let me do that tomorrow and then I will post them side by side
  7. For many people using P3D V3.xx and V4.xx, the thought of looking at oversized and downright hideous nav, beacon and strobe lights most certainly detracts from the whole flight sim experience, immersed in an unrealistic world; huge strobe lights that look like globes, and have a greyish halo, nav lights that are disproportionate to the rest of the aircraft....I think you get the picture. Enter FS Reborn, simple but efficient. This programme corrects the imbalance between distance and size of the exterior lights, providing the user with the experience that is sadly lacking with the default P3D offerings. Now, some people have said that these lights may appear to small, to difficult to see but, ask yourself, how easy is it to stop these lights in real life, especially in daylight hours? Next time you visit an airport, have take a look and see just how FS Reborn is managing to mimic the real life lighting. In the attached picture you can see a Loganair Twin Otter during early dawn, taxying towards the gate at EGPF. You will see the red and green nav lights on the wingtips, perfectly sized and with just the right amount of visibility, just as in real life. Still in doubt? On a clear night, have a look skywards at aircraft flying overhead in the cruise and see just how difficult it is to see the nav lights, bearing in mind that these aircraft are, on average, flying at 35,000 to 37,000 feet - that´s almost 7 miles high. Is your eyesight that good? :-) Lockheed Martin have skewed the perception of how these lights are depicted, FSReborn is taking back control! https://imgur.com/a/mKbO8
  8. Having just loaded the flight plan per the tutorial 1.5. now my wind works, finger trouble. All working now. Apologies Ken
  9. So I have my FMC settings correct and my ASN settings correct, I can see the weather file my Prepar3D V4.1 D:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\PMDG\WX, OMDBEGPF.wx C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Hifi\AS_P3Dv4\Weather activeflightplanwx.txt. But when I go to LEGS, RTE Data RSK 6 WIND DATA - immediately below this is says SENTREQUEST - if I press the LSK again nothing happens after a six hour flight and the message SENTREQUEST remains but nothing ever seems to be updated. The message also does not disappear, almost like it is stuck. Any ideas would be very welcome. Thanks Ken
  10. I am going to try this too as having the same issue, when I press WIND DATA, the line beneath says SentREQUEST...but nothing,
  11. Oh, one other point to mention, with a lot of newer model aircraft, the traditional strobe is being replaced by LEDs which turn on and off as opposed to flash. I will see if this can find some info in that for you.
  12. I am still using shockwave redux for the Landu g lights. They look fine up close but turn into an ugly white ball as th distance increases, even when the aircraft is facing away from you. Your lights are very realistic, especially the nav. Working in aviation and spending evenings on my terrace you begin to realise just how difficult it actually is to see nav and beacon lights and I think you have managed that. Keep up the excellent work 😉
  13. Best and simplest addon I've seen in ages. And, finally, no more huge, ugly lights in P3D. Can't wait to see what the professional version brings.
  14. Hi Alex Thanks for getting back to me. If I could find a way to add an image I could give you an example. If you have ever loaded up Flightaware Live Tracker, their system uses a blue on blue colour scheme, very simple with basically just the coastline. I guess with less features displayed this might make the loading quicker? For VFR flying the other map options are great! The CARTO Light option is what I use for IFR as it displays the main info I like to see without all the ground information and is more or less what I would like to see. I tried the CARTO Dark option but...it was too dark ;-) I think then the an amended CARTO Light would be great with the see as dark blue and the landmass a lighter blue with a contrast for the coastline and boundaries? The reason for asking for transparent labels, similar to the intersection/waypoints is that the grey backgrounds on the other labels create a time delay when loading. Hope this information helps. Best regards Ken
  15. Hi Just discovered this Little Gem - Little NavMap. I am wondering if it is possible to create a radar type background display and also to make the AI Labels and Airport Labels transparent, similar to Intersections and NavAids? Many thanks ands regards Ken
