No Luck Downloading

Recommended Posts

I have tried on several different occassions to download files from the AVSIM library. Each time I simply gave up citing server problems. Today, I needed a file, and ran into the same problems as in the past. Ithink it's time to seekout some help.

From the Library, I select the file Iwish to download. I hit the download button. The page switches to the "You download will begin momentarily..." but then that's it.

I get an error:

The connection was reset
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

Asking me to try again. Repeated attempts result in the same error.

I'm using Firefox 31.0. It does similar on Chome, but the error message is less elaborate stating only "No data received".

Thoughts?

Hi folks,

Thanks for your support, its greatly appreciated.

Ron, i followed through the posts of the thread you provided.

After unplugging both the router and cable modem overnight there was no change. I'm using the most current version of Firefox, although I am unable to download files from neither Internet Explorer or Chrome. I can get to the library, see the available files, clicking "GET" takes me to the pre-download page, but get the error at the point the download is commence.

My IP address is apparently 99.237.3.204

I am certain cookies are enabled.

Frustrating. I am missing out on a lot of great content!

Still struggling with this. Am I somehow banned from accessing the files? Could this be a provider problem? Hardware issue, like the modem or router? Also find it curiously strange I can connect to Carenado's website with Torch, but using the exact same address in Firefox, I get a "400 Bad Request" error.

Hello, do you have any firewalls active? If so, disable them temporarily and try again.

In my case, I have to disable the SSL connections monitoring options in Kaspersky Internet Security in order to access many websites which are inaccessible for me if the SSL option is enabled.

Hi. thanks for your suggestion.

Only firewall is the Windows firewall. Whether active or not, still unable to download the actual file. :-(
