ORBX global base

Hello!

My installer has been running now for 2.5 hours and not finished. Am I doing something wrong?

Yep... it's hung up somewhere...

I'd close that install down and start over...

My suggestion is don't run any other software or websites or anything else until you've completed the install as the Flight Sim Stores' installers do take up a bit of resources.

Same thing happened to me when I first tried to install Global. I had to re-download it after trying to install it 5 times. Something was probably corrupt.

I am back again after a week break. My son and I tried the install a second time, and got as far as maybe 85%, and sat there for 4 hours. I really don't know what to do next. Running windows 7 and plenty of disk space. No other programs running, we have a highspeed internet connection. ORBX is not cheap as far as sim software go, and i am very disappointed. I am not very computer literate and do not know much about deleting, or moving stuff around. Plan to use with FSX and not other sim programs.

If anyone can give me a suggestion, or who to talk to about this, I would be very grateful! At wits end.

Sounds like the installer is giving your antivirus a false threat warning. Disable anti malware and antivirus and after you install successfully you might need to put an exception in your antivirus.

Did you also check the MD5 hash of your downloaded file to see if it matched the MD5 value on FSS's download page?  You may have a corrupted download.
